We decided from the outset that the Education Department would be looking at educating the whole church and not just focusing on the children or those in further education.

Ellen G White writes in Special Testimonies to Church schools, "Let the church carry the burden for the lambs of the flock in its locality, and see how many can be educated and trained to do the service for God......who can determine which one of the family (Holloway) will prove to be efficient in the work of God?  There should be general education of all members......that they may be inspired to become labourers together with God".

Plans for the future:
1. To start the "Did you know?" or "Tips for the Week" leaflets soon.
2. Make a database of all teachers, teaching
assistants, social workers, education welfare officers, etc in the Holloway and neighbouring churches.
3. Meet with neighbouring churches and John Loughborough School to set-up  revision/homework club to help and support our children.  Talk to Sis Higgins about her programme for primary school aged children.
4. Creating a private tutoring (education mentoring) directory for the church.
5. Working with the Treasury Department in getting more members onto the Gift Aid scheme.
6. Create an Education Page on the Holloway website.
7. Educating parents to take charge of their children's education by understanding the systems, different types of studies available and keeping up with changes as they come on board in the schools and colleges.
8. Being part or running a careers function for our young people.
9. Purchasing a set of revision books that students at Key Stage 4 can used to support their studies in Maths, Science and English.
