VIP

Growing up in church, I have found myself accepting God as my personal saviour a bit later on in age. After I gave my life to Jesus, I found it difficult trying to be how He would want me to be and decided to keep praying and asking God for guidance and support. When I tried to invite my friends to church they will come up with the same excuse that ‘church people’ are hypocrites and that church is boring. When I finally managed to persuade my friend to come to church she said that she didn’t have a good experience as she was told off for sitting in a member’s seat. I was really embarassed and decided to take her to another neighbouring church where she now regularly attends. Now, I am not saying that it doesn’t happen at every church, but what can we really do as a church to stop this from hapenning? I really believe that it still applies anywhere that you go that if you experience a negative situation no matter how well you enjoyed yourself, that negativity will take over and that is what will be taken with you. Let’s think about how we meet new people and try and make them our VIP as I’m sure that is what God would want us to do!
