Run

Sunday 17th Jan 2010 My friend once told me that being a Christian is a journey; it’s not a run but a walk. It’s not a run!? I never really understood what she was saying until she explained to me that in a walk it’s ok to fall down as long as you get back up. This gave me hope and still gives me hope today because in life we buckle, we trip and sometimes it’s so bad we feel as if were getting run over as we cross roads or as we grow. Sometimes terrible things happen to us, and even though we really don’t like this line it does happen for a reason. When something happens, sometimes it’s so bad it hurts; it feels as if you’re being stoned. But surrender your all to God. It will no longer be your problem but the Lord’s. We never realise this but the Lord wants our problems…I mean have you ever heard of that? You can’t bear to think about them but the Lord is pleading with you to lay them all down to him. We need to get rid of self. There’s a line in a song that says “Less of me but more of You is what I need”. Let this be your prayer. Let the Lord be your strength and your guide and don’t forget to walk not run for a Saint is just a sinner who falls down.
